Barbara Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than thirty years of
experience in psychotherapy and social work. She now serves as a licensed and
ordained minister at Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Throughout her
career, she’s been a member of numerous local and national committees,
including the National Association of Black Social Workers and the first MGM
Grand Hotel Multicultural Advisory Committee in Las Vegas. She’s also received
many awards for her community service and humanitarian endeavors, including
being inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame.
Married with three
daughters and two granddaughters, Thomas is the author of the mystery novel The Melanin Factor, as well as the
Christian living book Who Do You Say He
Is: Jesus and the Devil Used to Be Friends, and is also a sought-after
motivational speaker.
